Aqaba Container Terminal
Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT) is PPP project with 25 years agreement started in 2006 using a BOOT modality with Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) and APM Terminals part of AP Moller Maersk Group.
The project contributed to remove the container terminal from the shipping line blacklist and placed it on the whitelist, and to become a globally recognized model of best practices in the region. ACT has contributed more than JOD 200 million to the National Treasury in the last five years alone.
ACT’s 99.8% of its employees are Jordanians. ACT is committed to supporting the broader local community.
