Wastewater purification plant project in Khirbet Al Samra

The Samra sewage treatment plant is the main sewage treatment plant serving the Amman and Zarqa regions. The sewage treatment plant located in Al-Samra was developed in two phases by a (BOT) modality. The first phase with a capacity of 267,000 cubic meters per day. The second phase (the first expansion of the station): to increase the capacity of the station by about 100,000 cubic meters per day. The project treats approximately 70% of the sewage water in Jordan. The project was awarded to Al Samra Wastewater Purification Company for a period of 25 years. The project is considered the first (BOT) project in Jordan.
