Public Private Partnership Unit held a Training Course on “PPP Procurement & Financing”
PPP Unit at the Prime Ministry held an online training course on “PPP Procurement & Financing” in cooperation with Reform Secretariat at MOPIC. The course was conducted by Synergy Consulting in the period of 4 October – 30 November 2021
The objective of this training course is to support capacity building of the PPP Unit and various line ministries involved in the design and implementation of PPP Projects in Jordan. The training program was conducted for participants from the PPP Unit and 13 other government agencies including Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Ministry of Water and Irrigation, etc.
The 8-week training course included 14 modules to cover key PPP concepts such as PPP tender process, PPP procurement models, risk allocation and mitigation, payment mechanism, credit enhancement, financing agreements, due diligence, etc. The training course helped to strengthen the existing PPP knowledge base and aid in successful private sector participation in infrastructure projects and services in Jordan.
Mr. Zaid Tarawneh (Director of PPP Unit) gave the opening remarks on PPP legal framework and mechanism in the kick-off training module on 4 October 2021.
Participants in the training course expressed their appreciation and thanks for having this great opportunity to build their capacities that are needed in implementing the PPP projects.
